How long have you been at Uraidla Brewery?
I have been working at Uraidla brewery since February 2022
What brought you into the brewing world?
I was introduced to brewing through hospitality in Sydney. I worked in small bars & hotels – accounts which I believe gave me a unique, hands-on perspective opposed to the traditionally scientific pathway.
What is your favourite style of beer?
I’m a real fan of a well put together pilsner or lager. I’m also a big fan of super fresh hazy pales and IPA’s.
What’s the most enjoyable part of your job?
At Uraidla, as we are a small company, I enjoy our ability to impact every element of the brewing company. We are involved in new product development, branding, and sales. We are also very streamlined from production to sales allowing for the freshest beer possible in customers hands.
What do you do when not brewing?
When not brewing you can normally find me in the East End of the Adelaide CBD enjoying the hospitality and lifestyle the city has to offer.

How long have you been at Uraidla Brewery?
2 years
What brought you into the brewing world?
I have always had a passion in creating drinks and understanding the history behind local distillers, wine makers & brewers to heighten my skills in developing new & interesting drink concepts throughout my years in hospitality.
From a young age, my whole family have created either outside of the box home brews or distilled eclectic spirits for there time, so I guess my interests started from an early age with them.
What is your favourite style of beer?
New world hop Hazy Pale Ales.
What’s the most enjoyable part of your job?
Delivering our local Adelaide Hills story to customers and building strong relationships from there.
Also Collaborating with amazing an influential breweries from all around.
What do you do when not working at the Brewery?
Study new development strategies in my field of work or work on my physical health and nutrition through sports and the gym.

How long have you been at Uraidla Brewery? Around half a year
What brought you into the brewing world? Became fascinated with craft beer while working behind the bar at the Gilbert Street Hotel. From there I played around with some homebrewing and completed my certificate III in food processing (brewing) through Tafe SA. I was then lucky enough to land a job as the assistant brewer at Uraidla.
What is your favourite style of beer?
Changes quite often, although, IPA has to be the one.
What’s the most enjoyable part of your job?
Being directly involved in every stage of a beers life, from grain to glass.
What do you do when not brewing?
I probably spend most of my time outside of brewing riding BMX, whether that is at the skatepark or filming at street spots.
Stefan
How long have you been at Uraidla Brewery?
I’ve been at the brewery since the start of 2020, so I’ve really seen a lot of the growth of Uraidla Brewery over the last couple of years.
What brought you into the brewing world?
I’ve always loved trying different beer from all over the world from the time I started drinking it. I was given a basic homebrew kit for my birthday one year and from that point it really became a serious obsession! After completing the TAFE SA Cert III Brewing course I did some work experience at Barossa Valley Brewing. I then studied Fundamentals of Brewing Science at The University of Adelaide, before landing a job with Modus Operandi (NSW) doing events/tastings etc. I was then scouted by Oscar via Lewis at Pirate Life for a brewing position at Uraidla.
What is your favourite style of beer?
My favourite beer styles are juicy IPAs, big barrel-aged stouts and barley wines, although I can’t get enough of a good, crisp clean lager (especially after a long day in the brewery!)
What’s the most enjoyable part of your job?
Seeing people drinking and enjoying the beer we work so hard to produce and having the opportunity to interact with people at events like Beer & BBQ. That sort of feedback reminds you why you’re doing it! I also really enjoy the creative aspects and learning new processes and work-arounds for the various problems that pop up in the brewery. Always keeps you on your toes!
What do you do when not brewing?
Outside of work I perform guitar and vocals in a heavy metal band, I love to cook, grow food in the garden and to go out to eat and drink on the weekends.
